Position: Per Diem/Temp Respiratory Therapist

Department: Salem Home Medical

Shift: Days  

‍PURPOSE

As Respiratory Therapist Technician, your primary responsibility will be to routinely evaluate and monitor patients requiring various respiratory equipment or modalities in order to insure patient compliance and safety. Other responsibilities include communicating with referral sources and suppliers in order to insure optimal patient care, educate patient on respiratory equipment and respiratory disorders, and instruct patients on various HME equipment.  

This position may also require you to perform other related duties and activities as assigned by your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Satisfactory completion of a program of respiratory therapy
• Certified or registered therapy technician. Must be licensed by the State of Ohio.
• Has complete understanding of all home health respiratory equipment and services.
• Thorough knowledge of equipment including indications for its use and physiologic effect on the patient. Is responsible for patient’s care during procedures/treatments and for keeping all learned information confidential.
