Position: Part Time LPN/Hyperbaric Tech
Department: Wound Care
Shift: 0800-1630
PURPOSE
The Wound Care LPN is responsible for all assigned nursing care activities to include but not limited to, wound care for patients of all ages and other clinical activities associated with providing safe patient care. The Wound Care LPN is responsible for following all Wound Healing Center policies and procedures, care protocols and Healogics Practice Guidelines, as directed by a Registered Nurse or Physician. The Wound Care LPN will be responsible for assisting with patient and wound care data conferences, and continuing education is required as determined by the Program Director.
The Hyperbaric Technician, under the supervision of the Hyperbaric Physician, is responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy and diagnostic testing to patients of the Wound Healing Center. All therapeutic and diagnostic modalities will be ordered by the Hyperbaric Physician.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing, with validation of medication administration certification. Successful completion of a state approved intravenous therapy certification course.
- Must possess a current license as a License Practical Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Must have current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (maintains currency of certification).
- Minimum of two years’ experience in healthcare is required. Wound, hyperbaric, and acute care experience is preferred.
