Position: Full Time Human Resources Specialist  

Department: Human Resources  

Shift: Days - Exempt  

PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Human Resource Specialist is to develop, organize, implement, and maintain the functions of recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing retention programs including strategic planning for a recruiting/retention program/plan.  This individual is responsible for investigating and determining employee needs resulting in a sustainable talent acquisition plan and strategies.  This individual will design, plan, and execute employer branding activities.  This individual will also serve as a consultant regarding human resource functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required.
  • PH/SPHR  or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five years of current experience in Human Resources with emphasis on talent acquisition.
  • Knowledgeable regarding federal and state laws and legislation in areas of employment.
  • Ability to make sound and unbiased employment decisions.
  • Proven demonstration of strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgment as well as make decisions within scope of assigned authority.
  • Solid knowledge of basic software application.
